Before
installing the new driver, please first uninstall the
current driver from Control Panel -->Add/Remove Programs.
Then use the extracted file to install.
Windows XP
This
model is supported by Windows XP's built-in driver,
but the driver does not support Voice Speaker Phone
function. If users would like to use the Software Speaker
Phone and V.92, please update the driver with the below
steps:
1.
Download the V.92 driver (for Win 2000 & Win XP
- sl_w2k_wxp_4.06.09.zip) and expand it in a folder
2. Start the "Control Panel"
3. Click on "Classic View"
4. Select "System" -> "Hardware"
-> "Device manager" -> "Modem"
-> "Soft56K" Modem
5. Select the "properties"
6. Select "drivers" -> "Update Driver"
7. Select "Install from a list or specific location
(Advanced)" -> "Next"
8. Select "Don't Search. I'll choose the driver
to install". -> "Next"
9. Select "Have Disk" and locate the new driver's
location
10. Select the correct model and click "Next",
then follows Windows instruction
11. During the installation, Windows will give a warning
that the driver does passed the Windows Logo test, select
"Continue Anyway" and then follow Windows'
instruction.
