Installation
instructions:
- Ensure
you have removed all former driver per the instructions
found in the manual before attempting to install this
latest driver version.
- After
downloading the file, unzip the file into an empty
folder or directory on the hard drive. (If you cannot
locate the file you downloaded, use the Windows Find
command to search for the Torpedo_II_V2_Driver_V1.0.zip
program on your hard disk.)
- Connect
the Torpedo II V2 to the computer, and select "\Win98"
folder when the system ask for the driver. Restart
your PC after driver installation completed. Your
PC will automatically detect the Torpedo II V2 that
is connected with provided USB cable and in power
on. (This program will be found in the folder you
unzipped the files to in step #1)

Windows
ME / 2000 / XP has built-in driver support for "Torpedo
II V2". So it is not necessary to install driver.
(Note:
Connect "Torpedo II V2" to the computer to
finish installing the built-in driver before installing
the utility application, Application\setup.exe in the
Torpedo_II_V2_Driver_V1.0.zip
driver file.

Caution:
Please do not proceed the Bug Fix if your Torpedo II
V2 MP3 player does not have below symptom. Otherwise,
your player will be caused to malfunction.
Symptom
- When you turn on your Torpedo II V2 MP3 player,
it only shows "starting..." on LCD display
and turn off automatically. User may try the following
steps to fix the bug.
After
downloading the file, unzip the file into an empty folder
or directory on the hard drive. (If you cannot locate
the file you downloaded, use the Windows Find command
to search for the TPD_bugfix040914.zip program on your
hard disk.)
Torpedo
II V2 Bug Fix procedures:
-
Backup all your data in Torpedo II V2 mp3 to harddisk
or other storage device. (Warning : All the data in
Macer will be erased during firmware upgrade )
-
Use a full capacity AAA battery for firmware upgrade
-
Extract the firmware archive into a folder, you will
get two files $norfla$.ugr
and $nanfla$.ugr
-
Copy the file $norfla$.ugr
to root directory of the Torpedo II V2 mp3.
-
Double click the right bottom icon "Safely remove
hardware"and click the "Stop" button
to stop Torpedo II V2 hardware device.
-
Remove the Torpedo II V2 from the PC. It will show
"F/W upgrading".
-
After a while, the Torpedo II V2 will auto shut down
-
Re-plug the Torpedo II V2 into the PC again
-
Double-click the drive letter of Torpedo II V2.
-
Format the Torpedo II V2 in FAT (Do not format it
in FAT32 or NTFS)
-
Copy the file $nanfla$.ugr
to root directory of the Torpedo II V2 mp3.
-
Double click the right bottom icon "Safely remove
hardware"and click the "Stop" button
to stop Torpedo II V2 hardware device.
-
Remove the Torpedo II V2 from the PC. It will upgrade
the firmware automatically.
-
After a while, it will show "OK", and restart
the Torpedo II V2 again.
