Vista ReadyBoost
Q What is ReadyBoost?
A
ReadyBoost is a Microsoft Windows Vista feature which may improve system performance by allowing a compatible USB drive to be configured with a ReadyBoost cache. This feature can improve performance in low-memory situations and it is especially useful on systems with limited memory expansion capabilities.

Q What are the system and device requirements for ReadyBoost ?
A ReadyBoost requires a system installed with Microsoft Vista, a USB 2.0 port and a USB Flash drive which capable for Windows ReadyBoost with at least 512 MB of available space

Q How much memory should I allocate for ReadyBoost ?
A

If you enable ReadyBoost, you can allocate the amount of space of USB drive reserved memory cache. We recommend a 1:1 ratio between RAM and cache size. Thus, if your system has 1-GB of RAM, you should have a 1-GB ReadyBoost cache size

Q Can I use more than one ReadyBoost enabled device at a time?
A No. Windows Vista allows for only one device enabled for ReadyBoost at a time

Q How to setup the ReadyBoost in Vista?
A Download the ReadyBoost Setup Steps
